Teddy hospital came to visit
November 2025
We were delighted to welcome a group of fourth and fifth-year student doctors and nurses from Royal Preston Hospital, who came to give all of our teddies a full health check and make sure they were fighting fit.
The children brought their favourite teddy bears from home, and the trainee doctors helped them to listen to heartbeats, check temperatures, and look at pretend X-rays. The children loved getting hands-on and learning how doctors help people feel better.
There was lots of excitement as the children role-played as doctors and nurses, asked questions, and made sure their teddies received the very best care.
The activity is designed to promote positive attitudes, build confidence and reduce anxiety about future medical experiences. By meeting friendly medical students and exploring equipment in a relaxed setting, the children gained familiarity and enjoyed a fun, memorable learning experience.
A big thank you to the team from Royal Preston Hospital for giving their time and making the day so special. We hope to welcome them back again soon.
